AGUA ES VIDA WATER CONSERVATION LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM

June 1 - July 22, 2016

"I think what I got the most out of this program is a sense of community.  I never really cared to know more about the people and resources in my area, but because of this program I have now opened myself up more to the place where I live." comments from high school senior and student participant

Who and what

Fourteen (14) students from Rio Grande High School (South Valley, Albuquerque, New Mexico) become familiar with water conservation and other environmental issues in the Southwest, and learn various water conservation and habitat restoration techniques through hands-on learning projects. Project support was by: Rio Grande High School, New Mexico Water Collaborative, Toyota Together Green Foundation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Partners Program, and many others.
